voice for America's soldiers and live up to its values.
AUSA's strength lies in its numbers. The greater
its numbers, the stronger its voice. The stronger its voice for America's
Army, the more certain it will be heard on Capitol Hill.
AUSA has proven its influence with Congress
by being a strong advocate for the successful drive for a larger pay raise
in FY00 than requested by the President (4.8% versus 4.4%) and repealing
the faulty overhaul of the retirement system. AUSA's influence has directly
resulted in money in soldiers' pockets!
