Fairfax-Lee Chapter, AUSA
2005 SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM


Category 1 - Member Scholarships (Minimum five $500 Scholarship Awards)
Eligibility

  • Open to Fairfax-Lee Chapter members (Enlisted, Officer & Civilian) pursuing first undergraduate degree
  • Attend/be enrolled in regionally accredited academic institutions as recognized by Ft Belvoir’s Barden Education Center, Ft Belvoir, VA.
  • 2.5 GPA (4.0 scale) or “C” average in high school
  • Favorable recommendation from your supervisor

Applications - Please limit one page and include:

  • Name, address, phone number, and e-mail address
  • Fairfax-Lee AUSA Member Number
  • Explanation of why you are deserving recognition/scholarship
  • Special family considerations or other circumstances that you believe are relevant

Category 2 - Family Member Scholarships (Minimum eight $500 Scholarship Awards)
Eligibility

  • Open to child or spouse of Fairfax-Lee AUSA Member
  • High school senior or current college student, full or part time
  • 2.5 GPA (4.0 scale) or “C” average in high school.

Applications - Please limit one page and include:

  • Name, address, phone number, and e-mail address
  • Sponsor’s name, address, telephone number, and Fairfax-Lee AUSA Member Number
  • Explanation of why you are deserving recognition/scholarship
  • Special family considerations or other circumstances that you believe are relevant

Category 3 - Rockwell Engineering Scholarship (One $500 Award)
Eligibility

  • Open to Fairfax-Lee AUSA Member, or child or spouse of Fairfax Lee AUSA Member
  • High School senior or current college student pursuing first undergraduate degree
  • Attend/be enrolled in college and will pursue/pursuing Engineering Degree
  • 3.0 GPA (4.0 scale) or “B” average in high school

Applications - Please limit to one page and include:

  • Name, address, phone number, and e-mail address
  • Sponsor’s name, address, telephone number, and Fairfax-Lee AUSA Member Number
  • Explanation of why you are deserving of recognition/scholarship
  • Special family considerations or other circumstances that you believe are relevant

All Applicants –

1. Enclose one page with information required from one of the three categories.
2. Enclose transcript or GPA verification.
3. Enclose at least one recommendation from teacher/counselor or supervisor.
4. Priority will be given to first-time recipients.
5. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
6. DEADLINE for all applications is postmarked No Later Than May 6, 2005.
